amavat Poland VATOver 35,000 businesses in Poland have been de-registered by the tax authorities in the last few months. This is expected to continue in the coming months as part of an anti-VAT fraud initiative.

If you are VAT registered in Poland, amavat Europe recommend checking your VAT registration to make sure that you are indeed still actively registered in the Polish authorities’ database. This is important for all businesses often submitting nil VAT returns.

This new initiative from the Polish tax authorities has also activated new ‘best practices’ on VAT compliance. At amavat Europe we recommend starting to submit nil ESL returns, even if there are no transactions to be reported. Nil ESL returns are normally not required in Poland, but we recommend to submit them to circumvent being automatically de-registered from VIES.

amavat Europe provides a one-stop-shop solution for VAT obligations within Europe. We assist clients with a single point of contact that speaks their language and handles all VAT related issues with a standard and cost efficient approach.

If you have any queries or questions, please do not hesitate to contact amavat Europe.
