We would like to have inspiring discussions with getsix Group staff over a nice cup of coffee (or tea). In this interview, we would like to get to know Patrycja a little better, also a little focus on a new employee to getsix® Wrocław office.
Coffee or tea? When and how?
Definitely coffee! Espresso or black with a little milk, no sugar. Starting the day from 6:30 a.m., this is a must in my daily rhythm.
Can we ask? Why did you choose getsix® for the next stage of your career?
When I went to my first interview at getsix, I not only wanted to show my employer my best side, but I also wanted to prove to myself that I could take on a new challenge in my life. I decided to give up my previous job and finally change something. I was encouraged by the prospect of my own development, which getsix could have just given me. Not only was I able to broaden my skills, but also to get to know and develop new ones. I remember that as soon as I came into the office I thought that this was the place for me, here I could do something for myself. At first glance you could see that people are smiling and friendly and the atmosphere at work is pleasant, which I think is a very important aspect of working life. In getsix, I noticed that it is here that I can develop my career to some extent, starting, of course, from the first level of my career.
I remember going to talk to the Board of Directors, my shoes got really badly worn and I lost both flutes halfway through, and I hoped that was lucky then. So here I am, so it was destiny :)
Could you tell us a little bit about your day-to-day responsibilities at getsix®?
As far as my daily duties are concerned, I am responsible for running the office of the Company’s Management Board and maintaining the schedule of Management meetings.
I receive, select and distribute correspondence to the individual departments of the Company.
I handle office equipment, telephones, faxes and e-mails.
I submit letters and correspondence for approval of the Management Board.
What is the most enjoyable aspect about working at getsix®?
I think that the most pleasant aspect of my work is the possibility of continuous development.
The work takes place in a nice friendly atmosphere, each of the employees is willing to help, which I also consider very important at work.
What’s something you find challenging about your work?
I think it is certainly a challenge for me to face things that I have not done before. With such small challenges, I improve my skills and gain the experience that is needed and important to me.
Is there a recent experience within your time with getsix® that you would like to share with us?
For the time being, I am still gaining experience. I think I am still quite a new employee and there is still much to learn. Perhaps one day, I will be able to share this experience.
What motivates you at work?
I am motivated to work by the desire to constantly improve, gain knowledge and experience. I want to develop, and thanks to working at getsix I know that I can do it. I want to climb the career ladder, and maybe one day I will find myself in a place where I want to be. I certainly want to use the time and the opportunity I got to work for this company.
If you could be someone else for the day, who would it be? And why?
A psychologist. I like talking to people and, as you know, talking is the basis. Being able to help another person is probably the best thing a person can do for another person. Sometimes, we simply cannot survive some things or problems on our own, and I think that it is precisely the conversation with the other person that is most important in order to relieve the burden that is on our shoulders. Another issue is listening. Sometimes all you have to do is listen, so that somebody can throw away the burden that is inside them, on their soul and in their head. I think that this profession brings with it not only great responsibility, but also great satisfaction at being able to help someone else, who could not necessarily have much happiness in life. Helping someone else is the best thing you can do.
