New increased rating for Poland
After eight years, the US rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has made a change to the rating outlook for Poland. It now has raised from ‘stable’ to ‘positive’.
At the same time, Poland’s Evaluation Rating for liability in foreign currencies has been increased to A- / A-2 and for liabilities in local currency to A / A-1. The highest rating possible from S&P is AAA.
S&P’s justified the increase, amongst others, due to the stability of public finances and solid foundations of economic growth, which causes an increase in income levels. The last time Poland’s Rating was increased, was 2007, the increase in valuation levels was from BBB+ to A-.
