Inflation in September 2014
In September prices for consumer goods and services recorded flat growth against the previous month, according to estimations of the Polish Statistical Office (GUS).
Significant parameters were lower prices for fuel (1%), which offset higher prices (1.1%) in clothing and shoes, this was in line with the expectations of the Polish Ministry of Economics.
Food prices slightly rose by 0.1 % and contributed towards an increase in inflation. In addition to fuel, prices for recreational, cultural services and other goods and services decreased.
Experts at the Polish Ministry of Economics are anticipating prices slightly increasing in October 2014 (0.2%). On an annual basis the inflation rate should remain at 0.3% in October 2014.
